    Things Needed For A New Home

    Things to keep in mind before moving

    Moving into a new house can be challenging and time consuming, with many items forgotten. Here is a list of day-to-day essentials that will be needed and should be kept in mind when shifting into your new house.

    • Drapes– In order to cover your rooms from sunlight or for privacy it is essential to buy curtains before shifting.

    • Cleaning supplies– Brooms, dustpan, sponges, toilet paper rolls and many more appliances that should be kept in mind when shifting. Buy supplies with a pleasant smell in order to keep the house smelling fresh and new.
    • Home security– Having a home security system will keep the house safe and everyone will be worry free. Having a wireless home security system is a great DIY and is hassle free as it is wireless.
    • Flashlight– As you are the owner of the house you are now the handyman, plumber, electrician and the person who has to worry about weird noises in the middle of the night. Buying flashlights and keeping them close by in various places is handy in case of emergencies.
    • Garbage cans and liners– During shifting there is a lot of unpacking and so many plastic bags etc , it is empirical to keep the house trash free at all times. A trashcan should be kept in the bedrooms, washroom, garage and the kitchen. This will keep the house clean and pest free.  There are touchless trash cans available that add to the aesthetic and hygiene. Odor shield garbage cans are also available to keep odors away.
    • Lockbox– It is important to hold a lockbox to keep important documents and other valuables. A lockbox that is both water and fireproof is empirical.

     

    • Toolkit– In order for minor fixtures in the house during shifting and otherwise it is important to keep a toolkit. A hammer, screwdriver and a measuring tape are a must in the house.
    • Iron and ironing board– To stay presentable for work and for keeping the tablecloths around the house to be in the best condition an ironing board and an iron is important.
    • Fire extinguisher– Smoke alarms are not the only took needed for a safe house, for emergency a fire extinguisher should be kept in the house at all times.
